General

Newpan Group was established in Israel in 1986, and specializes in import, marketing, distribution and servicing of electronic and electrical appliances for the home and vehicles, communications, IT and photography devices and business machines.

Newpan has been selected by leading international manufacturers around the world as the exclusive importer and distributor of a large number of well-known brands, including: Toshiba, Haier, Kenwood, Delonghi, Canon , and many more.

Over the years, Newpan has succeeded in developing and maintaining excellent relations with its suppliers abroad and in Israel, and with its customers and end consumers. The company places great emphasis on nurturing reliable, friendly and equitable relationships, while understanding and taking into consideration the needs and constraints of its trading partners.

Newpan has consistently shown a high annual sales growth, over many years, and the company has an annual overall sales turnover of approx NIS 900 million. The company has a staff of 450 employees, and its headquarters are located in Newpan House, in Rishon LeZion.

Shareholders

70% of the company’s shares are held by its founders and are controlled by Zvi Gior, the Groups’s Chairman and President. 30% of the company’s shares are held by the Allied Investment Group – one of Israel’s largest holding companies – which owns real estate assets and companies in Israel and abroad, as well as one of Israel’s leading vehicle importers – Champion Motors, insurance businesses and additional companies.

Subsidiary company – Karat Israel

Newpan recently acquired Karat Israel company – a strategic move that will generate significant growth.

For over 60 years, Karat Israel has enjoyed great success in marketing and sales of leading international brands in a wide range of fields: photo/video machines, office and home photocopying equipment, technology, communications, computer accessories and software, and entertainment electronics. As the exclusive representative of CANON and PENTAX, leaders in the photocopying field, Karat is the leading and most important player in this field in Israel.  The synergy between the two firms and the channels of distribution and sales provide a complementary platform and enhanced access to the sales floor. The wide mixture of products, catering to a wide range of target populations, creates an infrastructure and a strong basis for cooperation between the two companies.

Subsidiary company – Newpan Pro

Newpan Pro was established in 2008 and its expertise is in providing whole customized technologic solutions in areas of video-audio, smart electricity and integration between all home systems.

The customer is followed by a team of project managers, programmers and installers from the design and infrastructure phase through pre sale consulting to the actual purchase.

In the luxury and accessorized show room of the company, located in Mandarin area in Tel-Aviv, you can be impressed by special and technology break-through brands such as Ad-Notam, Clipsal Crestron along with leading audio-video brands such as JBL, Harman Kardon, Denon,.

 

Subsidiary company – Newpan Telecom

Newpan Telecom is the exclusive and official importer of HTC – the largest manufacture of smart cellular phone in the world. The company has penetrated the local cellular market in the Windows mobile category in the smart cell phone area whith an impressive entrance of 5 products, distributed by the main cellular operators. These days, the company launches the first cellular phone in Israel which runs the Google's Android operating system.

 Subsidiary company – Creole

Creole is the exclusive and official importer of KitchenAid Accessories – the non electric accessories of KitchenAid, The worldwide leading American brand. In the company show room and in experts shops across the country you can find special moulds, pans, knifes, gadgets and many more. All the products made from high quality materials and in variety of colors, accessorize the kitchen perfectly and allow joy and easy using in baking and cooking.

Demonstration, hands-on and training center will be opened soon next to the show room in Mandarin area, for the benefit of the company customers. 

 

Organizational structure

The organizational structure of the Group is based on a matrix management structure, in which the commercial division is organized, by areas of specialization, into 7 separate departments, each department specializing in its own unique line of products or distribution channels, and with its own sales staff.

All the departments are supported by the head office, with its Finance, Logistics and Customer Service and Information Systems units. In this way, professionalism and maximum focus are achieved for each line of products, along with efficiency and cost saving.

The professional and ambitious marketing division supports each commercial department in order to position the company’s brands as market leaders, both in terms of image and in terms of their market shares.   

The marketing system manages the advertising budgets with an annual scope of millions of dollars, as well as all ongoing marketing activities. 

 

Newpan’s Customer Service

Newpan has made customer service and support its trademark:

The service department of Newpan is 50% of the total company employees and many resources are invested in keeping its high standards, efficiency and professionalism.

The customer service center assists some 2,000 customers a day. Dozens of skilled, professional technicians visit the homes of customers every day, providing training, installation and repair services for hundreds of products, while complying with a particularly high standard of service.

The company has over 30 service centers across the country, handling repairs for the company’s products and providing a service in accordance with Newpan’s customer service strategy and with the high standards that the company has set itself.

 

The Logistics Division

Newpan’s logistics site, located close to the port of Ashdod, covers an area of 11,000 sq m. Every year, hundreds of thousands of products are distributed from this site to more than 1,000 sales points across the country. Our skilled, professional, courteous team deliver each order with optimal speed to the homes of private customers or to business firms.

The engineering department employs a staff of experts who check each new product before it is offered to the public. This professional department, with its wide expertise and vaste experience, specializes in adapting products to the standards and needs of the Israeli market and in finding fast, optimal adaptation solutions for unique projects.

  • Newpan Outlet – Newpan owns a chain of stores across the country, which markets the wide range of brands that it imports. 
  • B2B – Newpan’s special department handles business clients, such as hotels, organizations, large corporates, worker's committees and others.
  • Direct marketing – telephone sales via Newpan’s customer service.
